This project involves the creation of a commercial spot to promote the new minor league baseball team, the Southern Illinois Miners. The commercial is part of a series inspired by the Sportscenter commercial style of the early 2000s, where team members practice in an office setting while their field is under construction. This concept pays homage to the region's rich mining history.
As an art director, I was part of a creative team that played a crucial role in the commercial's planning, advised on-set during filming, and created key assets for the production. The commercial captures the Miners' team members humorously practicing baseball drills in the office, emphasizing their readiness and dedication despite the unconventional setting.
In addition to the commercial spots, I contributed to the overall branding and design of the ball club, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual identity that resonates with the community and celebrates the local heritage.
This project showcases my ability to blend creativity with strategic planning, delivering a memorable and effective promotional campaign for the Southern Illinois Miners.
